A fully modified Jago Sandero. This one has been fitted with a Land Rover Tdi engine utilising Discovery axles - Range Rover parts can be used if preferred including the V8 engine (up to 300 bhp!)
This one got a complete new chassis which is light weight and precision fabricated from 80mm x 40mm x 3.2mm box section and fully mig welded by ourselves. With the four point roll cage bolted on it becomes a strong unit. The wheelbase has been stretched from 80" to 86".
Roll cage is from 48 x 3.2mm
We found coil springs to be the best option for the Jago suspension with a specially designed lower 'A' bracket to locate the rear axle, improve off road articulation and handling on the road. This particular conversion was built using leaf springs which still work very well. The tyres are huge 33 x 12.5 x 15's mounted on white 8 spokes. Disc brakes all round for immense stopping power and a massive roll cage secured at six points with built in seat belt anchors to give you all the protection you need !
The Body Tub ready to bolt onto the chassis. This is a brand new tub (still available from Jago Developments) which is made to a very high standard in GRP using a hand laminating technique - unlike some weaker constructions that use a spray method for speed - and is Gel coat coloured. The floor is made of plywood that's moulded in - same as an F1 car.

We can re-engineer your old chassis on our specialist jigs to convert it to 4x4, which makes good economic sense as most Jago chassis are still in good condition and old Escort parts are getting very hard to obtain as they're being re-used on Mk1 and Mk2's, also Land Rover and other 4x4 parts will be around forever - You know it makes sense rodders!

Ford Transit being converted to 4x4 using Land Rover axles. Fitted with a Cummins 6BT 5.9 litre diesel pumping out 150 BHP and 400 lbs/ft of torque! That's coupled to a ZF 5 S-420 gearbox then a remote mounted Land Rover LT230 transfer box fitted with a Rakeway adapter flange and Ashcroft high ratio gear kit. This is being built for an expedition to Australia and will have a matching trailer built from an identical donor van. See it in action: Modified Ford County Transit
Land Rover Freelander mounted on a Discovery chassis with a 200 Tdi engine. Note the picture below showing how the body is hinged at the rear and can be raised to enable easy access to the engine and gearbox, etc. A secure prop is absolutely essential!!
