Belfield 4x4 Engineering was established by Andy Belfield in 1978 as a Specialist Automotive Engineering Company.

Belfield 4x4 Engineering build 'one-off' Landrovers, Range Rovers and 4x4's, including van coversions and cars all to customers specifications and budgets. We've recently developed a frame that bolts straight onto a Discovery 1 or Range Rover classic chassis to take Series 2, 3 or Defender bulkhead and rear tub to produce a 100 inch hybrid without all the hassle of modifying the chassis. We can also convert the famous Jago Sandero (previously known as the Jago Jeep) to run on Landrover Discovery / Range Rover running gear to create a stunning lightweight 4x4 with true off-road capabilities. See the following page for an example of what can be achieved.

The VW Type 25 4x4 is now complete!

The ultimate Swiss army knife on four wheels! Great for international expeditions and four wheel drive camping holidays. This one boasts a Landrover 200 TDi turbo diesel unit mounted at the rear returning around 35 mpg. This is mounted on to a reversed Landrover

Discovery R380 gearbox and LT 230 transfer box, which delivers the power through a Freight Rover flywheel and Land Rover Tdi clutch to flipped Discovery axles mounted on adjustable coil springs and GAZ shocks. It's been fitted with a power steering rack coupled to the axle via a specially fabricated relay arm.

The Warrior winch is mounted to a bespoke fabricated bumper and the swing away spare wheel carrier is also attached to a custom made bumper. The Khumho 31 x 10.50 x 15 mud terrains are mounted on 8 x 15 Modular wheels finished in silver. Can't find a good Syncro? Then we have the answer!

This Series I Landrover was built from scratch with a box tube chassis to give it a 99 inch wheel base and fitted with a Perkins Phaser engine delivering a mighty 200 BHP and 500 lbs/ft of torque. This is Andy's own personal creation, originally built back in 1992. A very practical work horse that covers a multitude of sins.

Belfield 4x4 Engineering also rebuild and modify classic tractors, such as Super Dexta's, Majors and Fergy T20's, etc., to have four wheel drive capabilities including Tandem and 'County' style tractors with big engine conversions to achieve huge pulling power!

Two Super Dexta's Coupled together to create an 88hp four wheel drive tractor. The steering is hydrostatic and it directs the tandem set-up exactly where you want it to go. Ploughing is a delight as it tows a very straight line. A truly beautiful machine with an individual character all of it's own!

County Style Fordson Super Dexta fitted with a modified Land Rover Salisbury front axle with 'all grip traction' chain drive transfer box and rear wheels fitted to the front. It has a Perkins 4203 - 57hp - diesel engine and hydrostatic steering. Classic good looks with modern capabilities.
